The Girl Who Plays Around

Poem

A poem on Outcast Love

We wrote an untold tale

Meant to be kept in the dark

For you were not known to love

And I was your secret well kept

Your fear overpowered our love

And you gradually lost it to time

I could not stop you from leaving

So I let you lead the way…

I called it love, but you didn’t care to term it

Why would you? We were not meant to be

Fool you call me, how can I deny?

All I look like is a girl who plays around

Bittersweet

Courtesy of Kristina Tripkovic

Bittersweet it is,
To think of the nights,
I fell asleep to your voice.
Happy,
and so in love,
As you told me,
You loved me back.
Faithful,
What we had was real.
Hoping,
That we would last.
And today,
Here I am,
The same person,
Still in love with you.
Writing this,
As a tear falls down my cheek.
Missing you,
Like a very part of me.
Replaying our moments together,
As I cry myself to sleep.
Wishing,
It was still the same.
Hoping,
I’ll wake up to you again.
